GIS Mapping Projects A geographic information system (GIS) is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present all types of geographical data. MFGC uses GIS mapping tools to support community based organizing and advocacy efforts. These innovative tools open the possibility to better serve and advocate for justice in communities of color across the Gulf Region.
