MOVING FORWARD GULF COAST, Inc. is a community effort, led by natives of the Gulf Coast region, who have personally identified families that want, but cannot afford or lack the information, to rebuild their lives in the Gulf Coast post the 2005 hurricanes.  Our main goal is to facilitate bringing together resources dedicated to rebuilding the Gulf Coast better in partnership with the communities in need. Our work around community building spans the Gulf Coast from New Orleans, Louisiana and Mobile, Alabama.

We honor the lead of Gulf Coast residents and work in partnership to empower their decisions around a just and equitable rebuilding of the region.  We partner with volunteers, professionals and funders from across the U.S. to work with low income, indigenous and communities of color throughout the region to promote sustainable community building, regional information sharing and informed grassroots advocacy.
